Coaches Requirements

All volunteer coaches, both head coaches and assistant coaches must complete the following:

1. Register to coach

All coaches must be registered on Sports Sign Up. To register go to, click on in town and click on register.

2. Coaches must complete a background check:

Complete 3 easy steps;

               1-Create an account or log in if you have previously created one

               2-Enter your information as requested,

               3-Provide legal authorization and certification

3. All coaches must complete the Rutgers Safety Clinic

The township hosts this class 2 times a year, click this link for details

If the township class above does not work with your schedule you may take the class at another township, SB Soccer will reimburse you for the class cost if taken in another township, after providing the completed card and receipt of payment made.

4. Coaches must complete the Concussion Training Course once a year

5. Take the Safe Sport Training Course

This is an online class.  To take the class please

  • email and you will receive an email autoreply containing an access code.  Make sure to check your junk mail or place as a trusted email addreess.  Once you receive the email click on the link to register. 
  • Create an account or log on with an existing account.
  • Add "US Soccer" as membership, this will prompt you to enter the code you received via email. Click Save
  • You will receive an email to confirm your registration, click on the confirm email address link and log back into your Safe Sport account
  • Click on the Trained icon to begin the training.
  • Once the training is complete, email the certificate to
